Hello Everyone
Book 2 is now complete!
It has been a bit of a bumpy journey to make it this far. Book 2 is only 7 chapters but easily could of been split into several more due to lengthy pages counts (looking at you and your 51 pages, chapter 5!). So it is a hefty book indeed!
Some reflections I had looking back during Book 2's production is that I moved from the US to Sweden, moved 3 more times after that (renting sucks), switched career tracks to UX/UI, got Swedish citizenship, completely cut a 3 and a half chapters from Book 1 of the comic, retconned and redid the prologue and chapter 1, made the full switch to production in clip studio, and posted book 1 in vertical scroll to webtonscanvas and tapas.
Who knows what the future will hold, but I am in a much more stable phase of my life now and am optimistic that there will be fewer interruptions and more streamlined page making when book 3 starts.
The comic is officially on Hiatus for the next few months, and Book 3 will begin in the Fall,
The Forgotten Order will return in October 2024
If you would like to submit any fan/guest art, please send to ( theforgottenordercomic @ gmail.com ) and I will post it to the website for everyone to see :)
In the meantime here is a list of comic recommendations to tide you over until the comic updates again. Please feel free to share your own reading list in the comments.
What the Evil Dragon Lives For (webtoons)
Romance/Fantasy - If you need another story where the female lead has a small and feisty magical companion then consider this regression styled manhwa. Also who doesn't like dragons!
Top Dungeon Farmer (webtoons)
Cozy styled fantasy Iskekai - A guy just trying to grow a garden- this is one of my new favorite genres, this story is a good balance of action, cute characters, and wholesomeness. My heart is captured by the little bunnies and Teo.
The Little Trashmaid (tapas, webtooncanvas, print )
Comedy strips with no dialogue. The art is so expressive and funny, it looks like it is made by a disney animator. Wholesome, goofy, and nice ecological message.
Villain with a Crush (webtoons)
Superhero Romance Comedy - The Comic is so dumb in all the best ways. Has given me a lot of good laughs. I am also a sucker for Rosa's villain costume design (she looks so menacing).
Ava's Demon (Website, webstoonscanvas, print)
Scifi- This comic is as old as mine and always a great story to return to (I am rereading it now for probably the 4th time) I am still blown away be the the art and animations.
As if Love didn't Exist (webtoons)
Drama Romance (revenge?) Regression Manhwa. You heard me! This comic focuses a lot on the suffering of the poor protagonist and I am almost hesitant to recommend it for that reason. But not all stories need to be upbeat and happy, sometimes all the hardship can be a little cathartic. I stress binged this story and still anxiously await every update.
Don't forget that all $5+ tier patrons this month will get a sticker! Come join is at Patreon, I will also be posting sneak peaks for book 3 over the next 3 weeks.
