Panel 1: "I..I can't help you if you leave me here." Kay's voice has grown weaker, she has almost convinced herself that it is hopeless to sway Perrane.

Panel 2: Perrane looms over the two defeated mages, his clawed hands grab them by the shoulders.

Panel 3: Perrane has a henchman, grabbed by the cuff, in each hand.  "I can't keep them out of your head Kaytrin".

Panel 4:  He turns to look at her one last time, his eyes still simmering with anger and hurt, "I will return when I have finished with the witch. Then I will decide what is to become of you!"

Panel 5: Kay looks on from the ruin she is strapped to, silent now.  

Panel 6: Perrane continues on into the darkness of the woods, dragging the two injured henchmen with him. The sun is now very low in the sky, and night will soon fall. Kay, still tied to the ruins on an ancient stone, looks down gloomily, realizing that she will soon be all alone in the coming night.
